Be a Keen Solo Voyager

Compared to a group of selfie and camera-toting tourist, a solo traveller can intermingle more easily into the crowd without attracting the attention of criminals and scam artist. While some don’t want the idea of travelling alone, citing danger and awkwardness as reason, others claim it’s akin to a splendid experience, where the discovery is all yours. It’s the ultimate hedonism too, you don’t have to do what others want to do or go where they want to go. saturday med.itation: A Typhoon Is A Hurricane Is A Cyclone

Whirling winds come in at least four forms: simple whirlwinds that do little more than stir up dust on a hot day; tornadoes, which intensely sweep along a relatively small path; hurricanes, which are vast swirling storms covering many square miles; and regular low-pressure weather patterns representing the common not-so-dangerous storms that occur routinely. Traditionally we have used the word “cyclone” to describe any type of tempest that consists of dangerous twisting winds. But the word originated in the Old World, where the only “twisters” were what we refer to in North America as hurricanes. Consequently, “cyclone” has come to mean one of the large storms (like our hurricanes) that swirl out of the Indian Ocean and affect the weather of Europe and Western Asia. So a “cyclone” is a hurricane in the Indian Ocean.

Sunrise at Mamburao

Rainy days are gone so as the typhoon (but expect more typhoons are coming before this year end). It is a relief to see the sun rises at mountainous area of Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro during my latest visit at Mindoro province. I pulled the car along the road to watch the sunrise and took some rest for the early morning RORO ride.
