Pahiyas Festival 2013 on Mtbike

Woke up early and rode my mountain bike to Lukban, Queazon (PH), the home for world famous Pahiyas Festival celebration. Pahiyas is the grandest and most celebrated festivals in Quezon Province and also one the most visited festivities in the Philippines, no wonder to saw foreign nationalities and some local personalities.

Here’s more for the summer, the SM City Masinag invites all biking enthusiast at Bike Trail Challenge on May 25, 2013 (Saturday) at Antipolo City (SM City Masinag).

Filinvest City Bike Fest 2013

Filinvest City Bike fest 2013 on May 18 on Alabang, Muntinlupa City (open trails). Made possible with the cooperation of Gran Trail Cycles and the Executive Off-road Racing Association, this race is open to biking enthusiasts of all ages and all skill as a total of 10 categories will be opened up to the public.

Ride of Silence Philippines 2013

The Ride of Silence is a free ride that asks its cyclists to ride no faster than 12 mph, wear helmets, follow the rules of the road and remain silent during the ride. There are no sponsors and no registration fees. The ride, aims to raise the awareness of motorists, police and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to the public roadways. The ride is also a chance to show respect for and honour the lives of those who have been killed or injured.

Slide at Tsinelas Festival 2013 – Laguna

This was my second time visiting Liliw, Laguna during Tsinelas Festival that runs from April 24-28, 2013. And this year we’ve visited Liliw during the last day of the Festival, so expect a lot of visitors and tourist alike to roam the streets to buy some souvenirs (sandal and shoes that were hand crafted by the locals).

Santo Tomas Mountain Bike Trail: San Bartolome to San Felix

Plotting my previous solo Mountain Bike ride at Sto. Tomas (Batangas), starting from Brgy. San Bartolome to Brgy. San Felix via foot of Mt. Makiling. Trails are mix of uphill and downhill with loose pebbles also with small river crossing and a lot of cemented road (photos from 9 to 13 to 1). I’m not the first one who rode this trail; just want to share this, have a safe ride!

saturday med.itations: We Live Today

Fortunately, we have to live only today. That is all God expects. This is all the time allotted to us. Many people are so occupied with yesterday and tomorrow they don’t have time for today. For them today’s plan are thwarted, because their eyes are focused on yesterday or tomorrow. One old epigram has it that “we spent days bring happy nights and gland tomorrows.” If we live today as we should there will be no yesterdays to regret or repair and we won’t have to worry about tomorrow.
