The Ideal Campsite

Here are some tips from ybbs outdoors to choose nice campsites:
• For restful camping, select a location away from noisy neighbors. • For a comfortable sleep, choose the most level site that you can find. Clearing away rocks and sticks will make your bed less bumpy. • Have it made in the shade. If days are hot choose a site under the trees or near a large rock or other feature that blocks the sun. • Avoid dew. Meadows and lake shores can get moist in the morning. • To stay dry, choose a well-drained site. Avoid depressions that become puddles during a rainstorm. • To keep bug free, pitch camp far from wet meadows or marshes. (Of course to us mountaineers finding perfect campsites up there are very hard to find.)
