Heritage Houses of San Juan (part 2)

After voting, it’s been nice going around at my hometown to meet old friends and to complete my post on the heritage houses of San Juan, Batangas. This is the eastern most town of the province of Batangas. According to the latest census, it has a population of 87,276 people in 16,519 households. You’ll need not to drive around the town to see the heritage houses; here are some of my photos.

 San Juan Nepomuceno Church

The church, built during the Spanish colonial period, was the chosen venue of local celebrities Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos for their wedding early morning of April 28, 2009.

To get there:
From Manila, people usually take the STAR Tollway via Batangas City, and take Tambo exit or, to avoid the traffic in Lipa City proper, you can take Exit 93 (Malainin) which is 9 kilometers after the Tambo (Lipa) exit and pass the towns of Ibaan and Rosario to get to San Juan.
