KK: Jesselton Point

In the late 90s, Jesselton Point has become the main ferry terminal of Kota Kinabalu. It is a one-stop terminal for all your island hoping needs, which will take about 10 to 20 minutes. Today, the terminal has been redesigned into colourful commercial outlets with great tourist facilities for those heading to the beautiful islands. These islands are Manukan, Mamutik, Sapi, Sulug and Gaya. All these islands and part of Gaya made up Tunku Abdul Raham Marine Park which is very popular with tourists.

This ferry terminal is located north of downtown Kota Kinabalu. It is possible to walk to this terminal if you are staying at nearby city hotels; to be exact this ferry terminal is located close to Wisma Sabah, Grand Port View building, or marine police and custom offices.

Ferry services between KK and Labuan operate every day. Mon-Sat, departures 8 am 8c 1.30 pm 8c Sun, 8 am 8c 3 pm at Jesselton Point, Jalan Haji Soman (near Customs Dept.) For updated schedules, call Tel: 088 236 834/5. Boat passengers to the nearby islands and Labuan will have to fork out more for this so-called "port tax" of RM3 per person per way.
