Experience El Nido

It’s fun and amazing to experience island hopping, swimming and relaxation at El Nido.
El Nido (a first class municipality) is located at the northwestern tip of the province of Palawan in the Philippines. It is about 238 kilometers northwest of Puerto Princesa, Palawan’s capital and about 430 kilometers southwest of Manila. The town is named (in 1954) after the edible nest of swiftlets (collocalia fuciphaga) found in the crevices of its limestone cliffs. These nests, “nido” in Spanish, are the main ingredient for the gourmet nido soup (are being sold approximately US$ 3,000 per kilogram).

El Nido, being one of the most diverse ecosystems in the country, is protected for its unique flora and fauna, and pristine geologic formations.

From the towering marble cliffs and enchanting lagoons to its 100 white sandy beaches and lush jungle, El Nido is one of the top tourist destinations in Palawan.
