Hot and Salty at Maquinit Hot Spring

We arrived here early afternoon when the summer days are still hot so, we’ve waited a few more hours before immersing our body in Maquinit hot spring. Weew definitely it’s really hot as it is boiled seawater, with about 40 degrees Celsius. And it is known as the only saltwater hot spring in the Philippines. As a reward, it was a warm and relaxing feeling that sooth your body in tranquillity.

The Maquinit Hot Spring is located on the shorefront, at the mangrove-filled area. Just about a 5km (~20mins) from Coron town proper and is easily accessible by tricycle (~Php300) or boat (motorized banca), with the entrance fee of Php100 for visitors and Php50 for local residents. If you don’t have any rented vehicle makes sure to arrange for a tricycle.
Experience a virtual gigantic jacuzzi by the edge of a beach, with a bonus sea and scenic island views. The Maquinit Hot Spring has two small (actually it’s three) and one wide pools with sandy/rocky underneath. After an exhausty day activity or before doing one, you can pamper your body here in a salutary hot and salty water. The place is open till late at 10pm, so it is a best place to hang out in the evening. I want to hang out here till night on my next visit to Coron.
