Stuck at Sablayan

“Pag-asa needs Hope.” We arrived at this place brgy. Pagasa at around 3 in the morning but were stranded because of the landslide and big rock that blocks the road coz by raining, so we we’ve waited till the sun shown and waited another more hours for the bulldozer or payloader operator to come and remove the fallen rock and mud on the muddy road. A huge rock slid from the mountain/cliff that causes the road impassable to any four wheel vehicles (even tricycles). In photos the rock sees small, but it was tried by almost 10 men to push it on the side of the cliff but they failed to do so and even the payloader gets a hard time to remove it.
Happened yesterday (July 8) at sitio Patrick Brgy. Pagasa (an hour drive to town), in my latest visit at Sablayan town. Hope this post (it not) catches the attention of a local municipality of Sablayan and the province of Occidental Mindoro concern agency to give priority on this one. Luckily no one injured in this area but it is a big catastrophe waiting to happen with a more mud and big rocks waiting to slide down if rains continue. And with inches of mistake on the wheel of your vehicle a deep ravine on the other side with rapid river water current welcomes you. Without corruption this place can be reconstructed as soon as possible, it is not just an ordinary road it is a main and only highway that connects the main access point of Occidental Mindoro Province (Philippines) from the town of Abra de Ilog to the town of San Jose. Hoping no one is harmed in this place especially this rainy season. “Pag-asa needs Hope.”
