Camp Out at Calaguas

Calaguas Island is one of several islands off the coast of Camarines Norte in the Bicol region Philippines. This group of islands is suitable for water based activities or just doing nothing. It has beaches with powdery white sands.
The Mahabang Buhangin beach is where we allow pitching our tent and camping out with bonfire at night. The whole stretch is pretty much isolated with some couple of families and caretaker who collects fee from the visitors (php150 each?).
The common and popular jump off point to Calaguas is Vinzons, just an hour away from Daet and the town of Paracale, almost 2-hours from Daet, Camarines Norte. In Paracale boat rental are negotiable and it is best to have a Bicolano friend in your group. (Take note that there are 24hours bus services from Manila to Daet, or take a plane to Naga.)
