Parola de Malabrigo at Lobo Batangas

I can say that this is one of the most visited palce in the town of Lobo, Batangas PH, because it can easily spotted in Lobo. It is locatedwe on the top of a hill overlooking Verde Island and Mindoro, the Faro de Punta de Malabrigo Lighthouse (Parola ng Malabrigo).

“The cylindrical tower, made of bricks, and with metal staircase, pavilion and machine room, was designed by Guillermo Brockman in 1891. Built by Jose Garcia in 1896, the lighthouse is an example of Spanish Colonial period architecture. Declared as a National Historical Landmark on November 27, 2006.”
Wow it is one of the 24 lighthouses erected in the Philippines during the Spanish Colonial period. Since 2004, the Thomson family (Akiko Thomson, Inc.) has adopted and preserved the lighthouse with an arrangement with the Philippine Coast Guard.
As you decide to visit the place some other time, please treat this historical landmark with great respect. Keep your garbage, do not vandalize or steal any of its artefacts for everyone visiting this place can enjoy and appreciate the beauty of it.
