The Colors of Santo Tomas Town Fiesta – Batangas


Santo Tomas, Batangas, PH has celebrated its 346th town fiesta yesterday (March 7) that have a week-long activities to enjoy. This week-long celebration starts from February 25 – March 7, 2012. Walking around the town of during fiesta week was not unusual in this town, so this was my camera captured, just sharing some of them, with the help of Mr. Renante “Ante” for some photo credit.

For the Catholic, It was the feast day of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the patron of Santo Tomas town, celebrated yesterday every 7th of March.

The MAHAGUYOG Festival was also part of the week-long festivity. MAHAGUYOG was derived from the town’s main products – mais (corn), halaman (plant), gulay (vegetables), niyog (coconut).

Santo Tomas is just an hour ride from the metropolis, It borders the cities of Calamba, Tanauan and Lipa and the towns of Malvar and Alaminos. Also the jump-off town for Mt. Malarayat mountain ranges and Mt. Makiling traverse.
