People’s Park in the Sky – Tagaytay City

Situated on top of the hill (some called it Mt. Gonzales) in the eastern part of Tagaytay City, Cavite, PH, former President Ferdinand Marcos started building a place here, but political problem arises (Marcos ousted from power) so the place never been finished until now. Since the place was discovered there are no concrete or asphalted road going up there.
Until then the government opened it for tourist and visitors who want to view the Taal lake and the surrounding ranges 360° degrees, and renamed it People’s Park in the Sky.
This was not my first time visiting this place since my college days, but I’m glad to be on top of this place once again. I’ve noticed that the entrance fee increase and the PAGASA build a Doppler radar there, the souvenir vendor also flock at the ground floor with a big Payton on the main lobby.
Summer days is the best time to visit the place if you want a clear 360° picturesque view, but if you want foggy scenery or want to feel the chill visit from December to January of during typhoon days.
Avoid riding a jeep going up, it is better to walk going up (it’s good for your heart) that’s part of the fun, also bring some snacks it not there are some stores there but it’s cost you more. Bring some extra bucks if you want to buy some souvenirs and pasalubong.
Note to Tagaytay Tourism: Teach their vendor and Tricycle driver on how to treat tourist and visitors some good manners.
