See Sta. Fe on Foot – Cebu

Sta. Fe is one of the three municipalities in Bantayan Island in the province of Cebu, Philippines. The main access form the Cebu main island is from Hagnaya port in town of San Remigio. They say that Sta. Fe is one of the crowded municipalities of Cebu during Holy Week but it’s not Holy Week when we where there therefore expect a few people walking around town.

Renting a motorcycle is the best option if you want to explore the whole island or renting a bicycle to visit nearby barangays.  I don’t have the chance to even rent a bike due to limited itinerary so this was all I’ve got by just walking around town.
Trisikad or Tribike are their local mode of transportation around town with prices ranges from php 5.00 upto php 50.00 per ride or per person. Tricycle, Habal-habal (singled motorcycle) and multicab (local jeepney) are still available.
The locals say that beautiful beaches in Bantayan Island are found in Sta. Fe, it has fine white sands. Don’t forget to buy dangit (dried fish) for pasalubong before going home.
