road mtbiking: Sto. Tomas to Calauan Laguna

(This was a late post because my computer got hacked and been infected by a virus these few past days and most of my files got corrupted, so sad about that.) It was raining hard every afternoon these past days so I was perplexed if I’m riding my bike early morning on June 18 (Tuesday), but I chose to pedal. This time my destination was the town of Calauan in Laguna Province (the town with a big pineapple replica), via Bay-Calauan-San Pablo City route. I’ve started and mark my mtbike ride at Caltex 7eleven, although it was already 5 in the morning the sky was still dark and the sun seems late to rise.

Back to Philippine Geothermal at Brgy. Bitin (Bay, Laguna) for another uphill and downhill ride.

At the intersection going to Calauan (turn left) I noticed this marker (Rizal monument), take some rest and photos.

Now it’s the big pineapple the Calauan town marker, make a quick stop, take some photos and eat some chocolates coz it’s another uphill ride to San Pablo City.

At San Pablo City I turn right to the town proper for a side trip at Sampaloc Lake. I separate my Sampaloc Lake loop ride to the next post to shorten this and to post more images.

At San Pablo City Hall, the entrance to Sampaloc Lake and SM City San Pablo, that was still close.

Another side trip at Alaminos town, at town Cathedral and Municipal Hall.

It was a tiring, safe, and nice ride. Thanks heaven that rain doesn’t drop during my entire ride. The entire ride records a 68.95km including the 3.7km Sampaloc Lake side trip.
