road mtbiking: Sto Tomas to Nagcarlan

It was a long bike break since I rode my mountain bike, and since super typhoon Yolanda hits the country, and this was my first bike ride this yuletide season. This time (last wednesday) the historical and famous Underground Cemetery in Nagcarlan, Laguna was my destination.

Started early morning last wednesday at around 5 in the morning at Sto. Tomas, Batangas 7eleven Caltex gas station. A smooth morning ride going to Alaminos, Laguna, but before I reach the main town I turn right and took the bypass barangay road skipping Alaminos town proper. Then I discovered that there was a two lane under construction road to Lipa City (hmmm maybe next time I take this road), then turn left back to Maharlika Highway to San Pablo City.

In San Pablo City I took some rest at town Catholic Cathedral.

The zigzag road up to Rizal town in Laguna and at Lake Calibato signage.

At last the famous Underground Cemetery in Nagcarlan, a must see place in Laguna province. There was no other visitors/tourist when I reached and departed the place. No entrance fee for this place, I logged my name and took some photographs. (More photos of Nagcarlan town on my next post)

Now back to San Pablo City, took breakfast and lunch then go home. My whole ride covers a 63.45 kilometers distance. Another hot and tiring but enjoyable ride, see ya again next time. (,”)
