When visiting world’s top attraction always expect a crowded and long queue, so you have to anticipate that at Burj Khalifa in Dubai UAE. I recommend booking your ticket on week days to have a bit lesser crowd and put extra hours in your schedule.

11. Did you know that Burj Khalifa has ranked number one in all three categories (1. Height to architectural top. 2. Height to highest occupied floor. 3. Height to tip.) required for tall Buildings by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).

12. The elevators in Burj Khalifa travels at a speed of 10 meters per second, among the fastest in the world.

13. It has 200 floors with 160 habitable storeys, with that no other buildings has more storeys.

14. The shape of the Burj Khalifa is the result of innovative research by SOM’s architects and engineer (a Chicago-based Skidmore, Owings and Merrill), who decided to vary the shape of the buildings along its height, thereby minimising wind forces on the building.

15. The main contractor was South Korea’s Samsung Corporation and New York-based Turner International was the project & construction manager, designed by Adrian Smith.
